Four exciting activities are currently under way, utilizing the resources of the Walters State Foundation.
As is customary this time of the year, the foundation’s Annual Fund Scholarship Campaign began in December and the associated Academic Centurions solicitation will commence next month. Both of these programs support the college and foundation’s most prestigious scholarship programs, the Walters State Presidential Scholarships and the Walters State Scholars Program.
Also just beginning is a campaign to build a third horse barn at the Walters State Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center. This effort is designed to allow the Expo Center to attract larger shows and thus increase the center’s powerful impact on our regional economy.
The foundation is also currently receiving contributions to the new John and Ruby Fox Endowed Scholarship, initiated by the foundation and the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce as a tribute to the many contributions this beloved couple has made both to the college and to Sevier County.
Donations in support of any of these worthwhile projects can be arranged by contacting the College Advancement Office at (423) 585-2629.
