Class Notes 1975 Steven Alan Hale, A.S. General, received the East Tennessee State University faculty award for outstanding student in the department of health related programs. He lives in Johnson City with his wife Lauri and their two children. 1984 Anita P. Ricker, A.S. Computer Science, completed her MBA from East Tennessee State University in August. She works for Walters State as supervisor of computer training for the Institute for Business and Industry. 1987 Linda Cabbage is working as industrial development program manager for the Industrial Development Board and the Blount Partnership. The Maryville native holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. 1988 Beverly Brooks works for the college’s Center for Education Technology and Video. She also started her own business called Sound Ventures,  based in Mooresburg.  A presentation she prepared for the Optomist Club of Rogersville recently won third place in an Optomist international competition. 1992 Beverly Carpenter, A.A.S. Office Administration, lives in Rogersville with her husband Quentin and the couple’s two children. The oldest son, Daniel, is three-and-a-half years old. Jason was born in April 2000. 1993 Sandra R. Whitt,  A.A.S. Nursing, works in Jefferson Memorial Hospital’s emergency department. She was recently selected by her peers as the recipient of the clinical excellence award. She also works at Walters State as an adjunct faculty member for the EMT program. Continued on page 5
