1981
Cindy Rowland, A.S. Nursing, is currently the manager of the Baptist Center for Industrial Health in Newport. In 1985 she earned a B.S. in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. In 1991 she became a Certified Diabetes Educator. This year she earned a master’s of Public Health degree with a focus on health planning and administration. Rowland lives in Newport with her husband Billy and their two children, Josh and Megan.

1984
Ellen Grace Dimick, A.S. Nursing, serves as school nurse and registrar at Heritage Academy in Monterey. Dimick and her husband Wilbur Lee Dimick have six grown children.

1985
Pamela D. Holt (Hall), A.S. Office Administration, is currently attending Carson-Newman College. She lives in Newport with her husband Billy Holt and the couple’s two children.

1989
Jennifer Nies (Reneau), A.S. Nursing, was recently named Technical and Career Education Teacher of the Year in Tennessee. Nies has been teaching vocational classes at Morristown-Hamblen High School West for six years.

1995
Helen Elaine Cross, A.S. Sociology, is a graduate student in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville College of Social Work. She is in the advanced standing social work program, doing her internship at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System’s geriatric psychiatric unit. Cross also does case management at Peninsula Behavioral Hospital in Louisville, Tenn. The Talbott resident is also the president of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society  at UTK.

Linda Jean Trent, A.A.S. Office Administration/Child Development, is the office administrator at Kirk & Kirk Health Clinic in Morristown. Trent has three children. She lives in Bean Station with her husband Roger Dale.

1996
Brian Janish, A.S. Business, recently accepted a job as the City of Morristown’s human resources and budget director. He previously worked as an accountant and budget specialist for the city of Johnson City. He also holds an accounting degree and a master’s degree in business from East Tennessee State University.

1998
Karen Elizabeth McCarter, A.S. pre-professional, graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in May with a B.S. in agriculture/animal science and a minor in biology. She has been a accepted into the class of 2005 of the UTK veterinary medicine program. She lives in Morristown with her husband Bob McCarter and two teenage daughters, 15-year-old Ashley and 14-year-old Heather. The family has nine horses and is in the process of beginning a breeding program.

Joanie Mungro A.S. General Studies, graduated this summer from Clemson University, where she played basketball for two years.

Susan B. Nothstine, RN, A.A.S. Nursing, recently assumed the duties of assistant director of nursing at Sunbridge Care and Rehab-Brookhaven in Kingsport. She now lives in Bulls Gap with her husband Robert Nothstine.

1999
Sharla Evette McClure (James), A.A.S. Business Administration and A.A.S. Office Administration, lives in Dandridge with her husband Marty McClure and their child. She works in records for the Sevierville Police Department.

Kathy Surber-Moore, A.S. Business/Legal Assistant, is employed as a paralegal for Butler-Vines-Babb Law Firm in Knoxville. She also serves as vice-president of the Tennessee Paralegal Association. She lives in Talbott with her husband Kelly Moore and her dogs Bubba and Pebbles.

2001
Leia M. Cushman, A.S. Criminal Justice, works as a 911 communications officer at the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department.
