Coach Joey Seaver is in his 19th year of collegiate baseball coaching. Prior to coming to Walters State Community College he coached pitchers at Carson Newman for 10 years and pitched professionally in the minor leagues for the Milwaukee Brewers. Coach Seaver was drafted 4 times during his college career at Walters State and the University of Tennessee. During his eight years at Walters State, Coach Seaver has guided 17 pitchers who have been drafted by Major League Baseball. In 2006, Coach Seaver guided a pitching staff that established school records for wins (61) and strikeouts (465) in a season. During the summer of 2006, Coach Seaver was hired by the Boston Red Sox to be the pitching coach for their Single A club in Lowell, Massachusetts.  Coach Seaver and his wife, Diana, are the proud parents of three children: Mathew (14), Hannah (12), and Ryan (3).
