Lady Senators Down Spartanburg

Jasmin Coleman was 8-8 from the floor with three 3-point goals for 19 points in a 92-51 win over the Lady Pioneers of Spartanburg Methodist College Monday. Rhon’Neisha Taylor had four 3-point goals for 19 points. The Lady Senators improve their record to 15-3. The Lady Pioneers drop to 7-8.
Taylor was 7-10 from the floor and 1-1 from the free-throw line. Nakisha Strickland chipped in 14 points and had eight rebounds.
The Lady Senators out rebounded the Lady Pioneers 51-16. Megan Rollins grabbed seven. And three players had five.
“We rebounded the ball well,” said head coach Dave Kragel, “and we did a lot better on defense. I would like see us to do better from the foul line.”
Spartanburg’s Erica Caldwell was 15-19 from the charity stripe and led all scorers with 21. She was 3-5 from the floor. India Belton added 10 points.
The Lady Senators will play Wednesday, Jan 16 at 6 p.m. when they host the Lady Pioneers of Volunteer State in the “Z” Buda Assembly Hall and Gymnasium.
