ROCK HILL, S.C. – Rhon’Neisha Taylor poured in 12 points, and Dana Garrett collected 11 boards as the No. 17 Lady Senators rolled over the Lady Golden Bears 69-43. The Lady Senators improved to 10-2, and Clinton Junior College fell to 5-3.

Brittany Mikels got her first start and finished with nine points. She was 2-5 from the floor and 5-5 from the charity stripe. Garrett chipped in eight points. Jasmin Coleman had the lone WSCC trey.

"This was a great effort by our kids," said head coach Dave Kragel. "Our defense stepped a notch. We made some key plays down the stretch, and we had big games out of a couple freshmen. This was Brittany’s first start, and she responded well, and Rhon’Neisha had a good game." Erika Jones led the scoring for Clinton. She had a pair of field goals and was 5-6 form the free-throw line.

The Lady Senators will play the Lady Pioneers in a conference game in Gallatin Saturday, Dec. 1. Their next home will be Saturday, Dec 8 at 2 p.m. when they face the Lady Patriots of St. Catherine.
