CATALOG DESCRIPTION: A course designed to encourage the student
to understand relationships through a study of interpersonal communications, motivation,
positive reinforcement, leadership processes and styles, conflict and change management,
stress, prejudice, discrimination, group dynamics and personal development.
PREREQUISITES: None
PURPOSE: To provide students with a knowledge and an
understanding of self and others so that they can interact in the workplace. To provide
students with principles regarding proper management actions and techniques and to provide
an opportunity to develop personal and managerial skills

Grading Scales: Grades will be assigned according to the following:
Letter Grades
A = 90 - 100%
B = 80 - 89%
C = 70 - 79%
D = 60 - 69%
F = Below 60%
OTHER INFORMATION: Students who have excused absences must make
arrangements with the instructor to complete make-up work. Students should attend the
first day of class or contact the instructor prior to the first class. Failure to do this
may result in being dropped from the class. Plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of
academic dishonesty are prohibited. Regular, attentive class attendance and diligent
outside-of-class preparation time will contribute to the successful completion of the
course. Students are encouraged to consult the instructor (by appointment) for additional
