Walters State Community College is partnering with NelNet Business Solutions (NBS) to

      offer WSCC students a deferred payment plan to assist with the cost associated with "tuition and fees".  Students owing tuition and fee charges greater than $200.00 for fall or spring semesters may elect to use the deferred payment plan. 

                         The deferred payment plan is an "automatic payment plan" offered by NBS.  To participate

      in the payment plan, there is a non-refundable fee of $25.00 each semester (only available for fall

      and spring semesters).  The payment plan allows for students to pay 50% of their balance due

      immediately and then pay the remaining balance in two installments.  Balances are automatically

      adjusted due to the dropping/adding of courses and the awarding of assistance.  However due to timing issues, balances may not be adjusted prior to the date when payment is due.  Because of this, WSCC in not responsible for overdraft charges due to insufficient funds in the student/responsible party account.  All tuition and fees are paid first before students will receive excess of aid checks.

                           The responsible party for payment must supply a valid bank account and routing information during the application process.  NBS automatically deducts payments from the responsible party's account according to the due dates (information provided in the application process).  The student/ responsibly party needs to read all information in the application process carefully.

                            To sign up for the deferred payment plan, the student must log into their STARNET account.  Under the student menu, select option for student account.  Then select option "Setup Deferred Payment Plan".  Select the appropriate term and click submit.  Review the charges and scroll to the bottom of the page.  When you see the eCashier logo, click on the eCashier logo to complete the process for establishing a deferred payment plan.  Read all information carefully.
