Dancers, using their bodies, express emotions, ideas, and
stories through movement. A variety of dance forms exist, including ballet,
jazz, modern, and culturally specific styles. Performance work may be combined
with teaching and choreography. Dancers perform in musical productions, opera,
television programs, motion pictures, music videos, and commercials. Dancing

involved for touring. Although dance training can be obtained through private
lessons, a broad formal education including music, literature, history, and the
visual arts is helpful in the interpretation of dramatic works.
