Career and Major Information:

If you enjoy performing or communicating with other people in small or large group settings, then you may want to consider majoring in speech.  A bachelor’s degree in speech will help you develop fundamental performance skills, voice and body training, interpretation techniques, and the ability to communicate with others in various environments.  Dual and small group interaction is examined through observation and explanation of verbal and nonverbal actions, listening, emotions, relationships, and conflicts.  These skills are applicable to a great many career fields.
