Walters State Community College offers an Associate of Arts
degree in Professional Entertainment. This degree is designed to fulfill
freshman and sophomore level course requirements of a bachelor’s degree;
however, the curriculum is not specific for any one college or university.
Students will need to consult a faculty advisor at WSCC or an advisor at the
intended transfer institution for particular courses needed at individual

Graduates in this area gain
jobs as back stage managers for productions. This is the career major with the
most diverse opportunities available. They are involved in set design, set
construction, and the practical every day functions of putting on a show. In
addition, these careers often spill over into management positions, including
marketing. Lights and sound design and implementation also are careers for
