We are still moved and filled with emotion because of the great tragedy which occurred on Sept. 11.
Watching our country unify in a caring and unwavering spirit with unparalleled resolve to protect our people and uphold the basic values and principles that made this country great, has impacted all of us. We are filled with a sense of patriotism and have a burning desire to show others how we feel and, more than ever before, we recognize and give thanks to God for the freedom and opportunities that we have in this country and in our community. I believe this state of affairs has had and will continue to have a positive impact on the work, activities and overall spirit of our college, our state, and our country and will add even greater meaning to all of our accomplishments and shared vision for the future.
I firmly believe that we are privileged to be in a position to serve our fellow man and are blessed to call ourselves Americans.
