Associate Professor of Developmental Education - Mathematics and Coordinator of Developmental Mathematics

 

PURPOSE:

The Developmental Mathematics program assists students in developing the ability to perform mathematical computations, use measurements, make estimates and approximations, judge reasonableness of results, formulate and solve mathematical problems, select appropriate approaches and problem-solving tools and use elementary concepts of probability and statistics.   Developmental mathematics courses are intended for students who need additional preparation in mathematics prior to enrolling in college-level courses.
