Legal Limitations

Graduates of the program will be eligible to apply to take the licensure exam to become registered nurses. However, individuals who have been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic violation could be ineligible for registered nurse licensure in the State of Tennessee, even though they have successfully completed the nursing program. A graduate’s eligibility for licensure is determined on an individual basis by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Individuals should contact the Tennessee Board of Nursing for more information.
