Join Us for Pride Night This Friday

Walters State will celebrate its annual pride night this Friday, Nov. 13. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. when the Lady Senators host Dyersburg State. The Senators take the court at 7:30 p.m. Ms. WSCC will be crowned during half-time of the men's game.

Eight candidates have been nominated for Ms. WSCC 2015. These students have been nominated by student organizations. Ms. WSCC will be chosen based on an interview, a personal essay and student vote. 
This year’s nominees are:
Jedda Benward, a culinary arts major from Sevierville, represents the Culinarians Guild. She is the daughter of Royce and Rita Benward. 
Kinsley Ford, a pre-physical therapy major from Newport, represents the Science Club. She is the daughter of Wayne and Jayne Ford.
Lindsey Katelyn Haynes, a religious studies major from Bean Station, represents the International Club. She is the daughter of Deborah Young and Randy Haynes.
McKenzie Martin, an elementary education major from Kodak, represents the Sevier County Ambassadors. She is the daughter of Shaled and Kenny Martin.
MaKayla Michaels, a psychology major from Mohawk, represents the Senators Pages. She is the daughter of Jerry and Jennifer Michaels. 
Krissy Nichols, an agriculture major from Bulls Gap, represents the Ag Club. She is the daughter of Eddie and Kim Nichols.
Danielle Turley, an elementary education major from Rutledge, represents Phi Theta Kappa. She is the daughter of Ray and Joy Turley.
Savannah Barnes, a pre-dentistry major from Sevierville, represents the Sevierville Collegiate Ministries. She is the daughter of Kevin Barnes.
The community is invited to join Pride Night activities. The Lady Senators and Senators basketball teams will host conference rival Dyersburg State with games starting at 6 and 8 p.m. Admission is free. 
Ms. WSCC will be crowned during half-time of the men’s game.
