Celebrate with Holiday Music at Walters State

Celebrate the holidays with Walters State. A slate of concerts promises something for every taste in music.
The Walters State Community Band performs its holiday concert Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the “Z” Buda Assembly Hall and Gymnasium on the Morristown Campus. The concert is free. The Community Band is made up of students and community members who enjoy band music.
The Community Chorale Concert is 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at First Presbyterian Church in Morristown. The concert is free and features both students and community members.
The Sevier County Campus Christmas Concert is 7 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Conner-Short Center. Admission is free and the concert includes the Concert Choir, the A Capella Choir, the Jazz Band and the Studio Ensembles.
The Walters State Jazz Band Concert is 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex. This band includes both students and community members. Admission is free.

“A Night of Bluegrass” with the High Lonesome Senate is scheduled for Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex in Morristown. The concert is free and is sponsored by the Walters State Folklore Club. 
The Sensations Chamber Ensemble Holiday Concert is 7 p.m. on Dec. 16 in the theatre. The cost is $10 (students, $5). Reservations can be made by calling 423-585-6922 between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
