Veterans Trip to Washington DC
November 9 - 11, 2015

Walters State will again be honoring our military students by hosting a trip to our nation’s capital on Veterans’ Day. The hotel and admissions cost associated with visiting the various sites will be paid by Walters State for our military students. Students will be responsible for all food and souvenirs purchased. The bus will leave Walters State early on November 9th and return late November 11. Sites to be seen and/or toured include:

  • Smithsonian Museums (select)
  • Holocaust Museum
  • Washington Monument
  • Lincoln Memorial
  • Arlington Cemetery
  • Capitol Building
  • Iwo Jima Memorial
  • Vietnam Veteran's Memorial
  • WWII Memorial
  • National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial
  • Women’s Military Memorial
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial
  • Air Force Memorial
