Walters State's Center for Workforce Development is the administrative entity for Local Area 2, which comprises the 10 counties in the college's primary service area. With partner agencies, it serves both job seekers and employers through the Tennessee Regional Career Center at Talbott and affiliate centers in Greeneville, Maynardville, Newport and Rogersville and Sevierville. The Center for Workforce Development also provides youth enrichment and development initiatives through WIA Youth Services.
If you are a veteran, an eligible spouse of a veteran, or an eligible widow or widower of a veteran you are eligible for priority in obtaining WIA services. If you are low-income, you also may be eligible for priority in obtaining WIA services.
