The Center for Workforce Education is a partnership between the college, area industries and other training providers. Originally funded by a U.S. Department of Labor grant, the center provides an opportunity for employers to receive customized training. For workers, both employed and unemployed, the center offers a way to upgrade current skills. A Tennessee Career Center is located within the Center for Workforce Education, making it a convenient, one-stop shop for people seeking new or better jobs. For more information, call (423) 318-2340.

The center was funded by $1.9 million Community-Based Job Training Grant. The CWE offers pre-application screening, and Career Center Services.

According to local industry, the CWE's manufacturing labs and curriculum are designed to provide the types of training job applicants and employers need.

The CWE provides assessments and testing, remediation for individuals that lack basic school and work skills that train entry-level workers and employed workers that want better jobs.
