College Advancement

Mark Hurst

Mark Hurst
Vice President for College Advancement/ Treasurer of the Walters State Foundation

The Office of College Advancement is an organizational unit of the college designed to assist the college president as he provides leadership in achieving the college's mission of presenting a wide variety of affordable, quality higher education opportunities to the residents of upper East Tennessee.

Specifically, the Office of College Advancement provides coordination and oversight in two general areas of institutional promotion that involve fund raising and alumni affairs. In each of these areas the College Advancement staff seeks to support the implementation of the college's vision while exemplifying the principles and values inherent in the Walters State Campus Compact. The Office of College Advancement strives to inspire the college's many constituencies to acknowledge the college as an invaluable regional asset and, thus, to foster its growth and development through proactive advocacy and financial support.
