Israeli Tactics Taught in Law Enforcement Course
May 22, 2019

Walters State Community College will offer a special in-service training for area law enforcement officers spotlighting the tactics used by the Israeli police force in fighting crime and terrorism. The class is offered July 22-24, but reservations must be made by May 31. The cost is $595 and the course will be held at the college’s Niswonger Campus in Greeneville.
The course is taught by Oz Kinstlich, a former Israeli Special Forces commander and embassy security team member. He is the director of No Shots Fired, a law enforcement training firm.
The class will cover firing methods and room-clearing methods. Participants will learn key ways to identify suspicious people, bags and vehicles. Instructors will train students in Krav Maga, a martial arts discipline practiced in Israel. The self-defense and fighting system can make it easier to search and cuff, deal with multiple opponents, and react quickly to many situations. The class will also include active-shooter training scenarios.
