WSCC, PFHA Plan ServSafe Class

Walters State Community College and the Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association will offer a ServSafe on March 30 on the college’s Sevier County Campus. The cost is $99 and the registration deadline is March 9. Registration can be made to Kellie Hendrix at Kellie.Hendrix@ws.edu or 423-798-7988. 
This course is based on the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation ServSafe program and students who complete it will receive ServSafe certification from the National Restaurant Association and .9 CEUs.
The course covers the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system and training in all areas of food safety. Students will learn federal and state laws governing food service. The class provides a solid foundation in the basic principles of sanitation and safety and how to apply those in food service operations. This one-day class also trains supervisors on best practices in training employees in food service sanitation and safety.
The class is limited to 25 seats.
