Nicely Receives LMU Scholarship
June 10, 2020

Walters State Community College graduate Kaley Nicely has received the Lincoln Memorial Transfer Scholarship, one of the more generous transfer scholarships given to a Walters State graduate.
Nicely, a laboratory science major, is a 2018 graduate of Jefferson County High School. She completed her associate of science this spring.
“Kaley is a dedicated, determined and intelligent student," Dr. Tony Miksa, president of Walters State, said. "She has excelled at Walters State and I look forward to seeing where the future takes her. I also want to thank Lincoln Memorial University for giving her, through this scholarship, the opportunity to achieve her educational goals."
Dr. Clayton Hess, president of Lincoln Memorial, said he is looking forward to seeing Nicely grow on the college’s Harrogate campus.
“I am excited to welcome Kaley to LMU and look forward to following her journey and shaking her hand as she crosses the stage at graduation,” Hess said. “She has selected one of our most challenging and successful programs in Medical Laboratory Science, and I have no doubt she is prepared. Many of our transfer students come from Walters State, which does a tremendous job preparing students for the rigors of higher education.”
Nicely will enroll at LMU in the fall.
