Becoming a Walters State student is easy. Just complete an application and mail it with a $10 process fee to the college’s Admissions and Registration Services Department.

If you’re under 21 and you haven’t taken the ACT or if you’re over 21 and you haven’t taken the COMPASS test, call the Counseling and Testing Office at (423) 585-6800 or 1-800-225-4770 option 3 to schedule a test. These aren’t admissions tests and you can’t pass or fail. The results will be used to help determine which classes you should take.

You’ll also want to make an appointment with the Financial Aid Office at (423) 585-6811 to learn more about programs that may help you pay for college.

Our Enrollment Development & Retention Services Department can help you with any part of the admissions process, including scheduling a campus tour and meeting with an advisor. Just call 1 (800) 225-4770, ext. 4.
