| Description:
The Senators Pages are a public relations
support group under the direction of the college president and his staff. Pages assist
with activities which include receiving visitors to the college, student registration and
orientation, hosting lyceum events and theater productions, conducting campus tours, and
other duties as assigned by the President's Office. Pages receive minimum wage for the
hours worked and are issued a red jacket to wear during the performance of their duties.
Qualifications:
Students applying to become a Senators Page must have a minimum high school grade point
average of 2.8 or a cumulative average of 2.5 on work taken at WSCC and be enrolled at the
college as a full-time student. Other criteria considered include leadership ability,
character, poise, and appearance.
Selection Process:
Applications received are reviewed by a screening committee and a limited number of
applicants are selected for a personal interview. Final determinations are made by the
screening committee and the college president. New pages are added at the beginning of
each fall semester.
