College-wide General Education Achievement Award

 

Student Award Program:  Walters State provides $7,500 as an incentive award program to be used to recognize student achievement on the MAPP general education exit examination.

*To be included in the random draws, a student must perform at or above the national norm and met the criteria outlined below..

  • The college-wide top performer and the top and second highest performers in the AS/AA and AAS categories will be given their awards and certificates at Honors Day.

  • Random draw recipients will receive their awards through the mail.

  • Students are only eligible if they take the test during the regularly scheduled MAPP test times throughout the year.  New testing cycles start with summer testing dates.

  • The recipient of the $1,500 award is not eligible to receive another award within his or her subgroup.

  • Students receiving awards within their academic division are eligible for college-wide awards.

  • In the event that students have the exact same scores for top or second highest performer, awards will be divided equally among those scorers.
