General Information About the MAPP

What is The MAPP Exam?

  • The MAPP focuses on skills developed through general education courses.
  • The MAPP does not focus on knowledge acquire in subjects.
  • Question content is take from:
    • Humanities
    • Social Sciences
    • Natural Sciences

Skills Required to be Successful

  • This exam measures your:
    • college level reading ability,
    • critical thinking skills,
    • writing skills and
    • mathematical ability

Characteristics of the Exam

  • The test is multiple-choice.
  • There is not an essay component to the version of the test you will take.
  • The version you will take is the on-line version.
  • There are 108 questions on the exam.
  • You will have two 60 minute sessions to complete the exam.
  • Completing 108 questions in 120 minutes allows approximately 1.2 minutes per question.
