Veteran TJCCAA Hall-of-Fame Coach Bill Gardner has guided the golf
program to national prominence.
Gardner, who was the first coach hired by the college, has also
coached men’s basketball and baseball during his 31-year tenure
with WSCC. Coach Gardner guided the Senators Baseball Team to their
first ever Junior College World Series in 1984.
Several former Senators golfers have signed with four-year colleges
and universities.
The Senators golf program has qualified for the national tournament
14 times, won 15 state and region crowns and has been ranked as high
as sixth in the country during Gardner's guidance.
The golf program has also produced a national champion, Ryan Cabbage
in 1995.
