COLUMBIA — Walters State's Terrance Britt had a game
to remember on Saturday against Columbia State. The 5'8 sophomore point
guard recorded a triple double in leading the No. 15
Senators over the Chargers,
84-71.
Britt tallied 11 points, pulled down 10
rebounds and dished out 10 assists.

Bill Carlyle was impressed with his veteran guard.
"Terrance played
extremely well today," said Carlyle. "As an entire unit, I thought
we played better today than
we had as of late. We still have a lot of improving to do. We are making
progress, but we are not close to where we need to be. It was good to get
the road win."
The Senators (18-1)
were 31-of-67 from the field (46 percent) including 8-of-23 from 3-
point range. Walters State
was also 14-of17 at the free-throw line.
Freshman guard A.J.
Thomas led the Senators with 21 points, which included two 3-pointers.
Freshman Laquintas Stewart complimented Thomas' night with 20 points.
Sophomore Sirlester Martin added 18.
Dontavious
Merriweather lead the Chargers with 17 points, while Antonio Murry added 16.
Columbia State shot 27-of-62 from the field (43 percent) and 10-of-25 from
3-point range (40 percent).

The No. 19 Lady
Senators had no trouble disposing Columbia State on Saturday evening.
Walters State had five players reach double figure scoring in the victory.
With the win, the Lady Senators improve to 17-3 overall.
Nakisha Strickland
and Rhon'Neshia Taylor had 11 points while Allysia Bailey 10, Dana Garrett
10 and Tiffany Travis had 10.
"We had 28 assists
tonight, and I am very pleased with that," said Walters State coach Dave
Kragel. "We also outrebounded them 49-20. I was extremely pleased with how
patient we were on offense. A total of 14 players scored. It was a great
team win."
Garrett added eight
rebounds and seven assists while Travis had six rebounds.
Walters State took
a huge 50-22 advantage at halftime.
The Lady Senators
shot 42-of-76 from the floor and 8-of-21 from behind the 3-point line. The
hit 7-of-12 free throws.
For the Lady
Chargers, they were 13-of-48 from the field, 4-of-18 from 3-point land, and
22-of-30 at the charity stripe.
