Statement of Purpose

The agriculture business program is a two-year technical program that is designed to prepare students for immediate employment.  The curriculum provides a broad background in agriculture classes as well as additional courses in accounting and business management.

Career Options

In the 21st century, the study of agriculture can lead to careers in the design and sale of farm equipment, in agriculture research, resource management, forestry, or in business providing today's farmers the essential supplies and services they need.

Nationwide, there are over 200 careers in agriculture with the annual demand for agriculture college graduates 5 to 12 percent greater than the number of qualified graduates available.  Walters State Agriculture graduates are now employed in these fields:
