Nestled in the foothills of the
Great Smoky Mountains, the Hospitality Business Department prepares
graduates for management positions in one of the most dynamic and
fastest growing employment fields ~ Hospitality and Tourism.
The Rel Maples Institute for
Culinary Arts provides students with education and experience in hot
foods preparation, baking and pastry and kitchen management as well as
non-commercial foodservice.
Students completing the Hotel and
Restaurant Management concentration gain experience in all operations of
full service lodging and restaurant management. |

The department features two
first-class associate of applied science degree programs in the
hospitality field: Culinary Arts which
is the only American Culinary Federation accredited
post-secondary culinary program in the state of Tennessee and
Hotel & Restaurant Management.
The Culinary Arts program offers
of choice of emphasis in Hot Foods or Baking and Pastry. The
program also features a Certificate program
which focuses solely on the culinary core of the applied science degree.
The program's faculty is highly
dedicated and very diverse in academic credentials and professional
certification as well as career background. They are all seasoned
industry veterans.
