Catalog Description: This course provides experience in formatting and preparation of business letters, outlines, reports, tables, data sheets, and forms. Basic text-editing functions of microcomputers are introduced.

Prerequisites:
One year of high school typewriting or successful completion of OADM 1040/Keyboarding.

5. Format multiple page letters

10. Key from straight copy for five minutes with an error allowance of two errors per minute.

Evaluation

Your grade will be based on a point system as follows: 

Timed Writings 20%
Folder 40%
Exams 40%

Grading Scales: Grades will be assigned according to the following:

General                        Timed Writings

A 90-100                 A+ 39-40

B 80-89           A        37-38

C 70-79           B+         35-36

D 60-69           B         33-34

F Below 60           C+ 31-32

                                   C    29-30

                                   D+ 27-28

                                   D         25-26

OTHER INFORMATION:

Students who have excused absences must complete make-up work within two weeks. Students should attend the first day of class or contact the instructor prior to the first class. Failure to do this may result in being dropped from class. Plagiarism, cheating and other forms of academic dishonesty are prohibited.
