Walters State Community College
offers numerous courses for human resource managers, assistants and
specialists. As an official SHRM authorized training provider,
we offer the PHR/SPHR review course as well as the popular HR
Essentials course.
PHR
/ SPHR Course
The SHRM LEARNING SYSTEM, which is designed primarily
as a certification preparation course for the Human Resource
Certification Institute (HRCI) examinations. It is a minimum
of 35 contact hours in length. People who take this course
have typically worked in exempt-level human resource positions for
at least two years. Materials used will correspond to new test
requirements for 2007.

Essentials of HR Course
Essentials of HR Certification Program: Whether
you’re new to human resources or you simply want to strengthen your
employee management skills this program is the place to start. This
cost-effective, 4-week workshop will give you a broad overview of
the human resource function. It covers real-life HR issues and
critical topics including strategic planning, recruiting,
compensation, benefits and employee relations. (14 hours)
