McCamey begins work as president of Roane State
Dr. Wade McCamey, vice president for Academic Affairs, has left Walters State to serve as president of Roane State CommunityCollege. McCamey began his new job at RSCC on Oct. 15. The Greene County native is the third Walters State administrator to leave the college to assume the presidency of another college. Dr. Bill Locke, who preceeded McCamey in the academic vice presidency at WSCC, is currently the president of Northeast State Technical Community College. Dr. James Ford served as president of Cleveland State Community College. He returned to Walters State in 1993 and remains as a Distinguished Regents Fellow and professor of Mathematics.
