Statement of Purpose:

To provide educational services to individuals desiring to enter the public safety career fields of law enforcement and emergency medical service; to provide skills and training for those currently employed and appropriate course work to those who plan to transfer to a four-year institution of higher learning.

Overview:

The Division of Public Safety offers the following degrees and certificates:

• Associate of Science in Criminal Justice  - University Parallel

• Associate of Applied Science in Public Safety – Law Enforcement

• Associate of Applied Science – Fire Protection

• Associate of Applied Science – Paramedic

• Technical Certificate – Emergency Medical Technician

• Technical Certificate – Paramedic

• Technical Certificate in Basic Law Enforcement Officer Education*

*Awarded upon graduation from the Basic Law Enforcement Officer Academy

Note: Credits earned for classes completed in the training academy or in-service program may be applied to the AAS and AS degrees.
