Robert Wood: President
After I graduated from Jefferson County High School in 2006,
I became a part I became a part of the WSCC family. I am currently majoring in Pre-Pharmacy and
plan to graduate in May 2008 with an Associate of Science Degree with
Pre-Pharmacy
Emphasis.
In addition to SGA, I am the Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa,
the Int’l Honor Society of Two Year Colleges, as well as a Senior
Orator for the Debate Team. Also, I serve as the Communications and
PR Officer for WSCC’s Science Club. My schedule is busy, but I thoroughly enjoy it.
Currently, I have plans to transfer into ETSU’s College of Pharmacy after my coursework here at WSCC.
I treasure the time I’ve spent here at Walters State,
and it becomes more valuable each day.
Maura Jarnagin: Vice President
I received my academic foundation while attending Rutledge High
School where I graduated in 2006.Currently a sophomore majoring in
Elementary Education, I hope to one day become a Speech-Language
Pathologist. I live in Bean Station, but after my coursework at WSCC, I
plan on transferring to East Tennessee State University. Besides being involved
with SGA, I am also a member of Phi Theta Kappa and STEA.
My time at WSCC has been well enjoyed thus far, and I am looking forward to what is to come.
Keima S. Talley: Secretary
Currently, I am a sophomore majoring in Pre-Dental Hygiene.
This is my first year involved with SGA, and it has been very active
so far. I am also involved in Senator’s Page, FCA, and the Concert
Choir at WSCC.
I stay involved in many activities on campus and have really
embraced WSCC
Brian Tocholke: Sophomore Representative
Married to my wife, Kristin, and having a six-year old daughter,
Amber, in addition to my coursework keeps my life busy here at WSCC.
I am currently working towards my degree in Biomedical Engineering
and am doing quite well. After Walters State, I plan to transfer to
ETSU and continue my pursuit in Biomedical Engineering. Besides SGA,
I am a work study for the student success center and a tutor.
I enjoy spending time with my family and going to church. I like it
very much at Walters State and look forward to the rest of my time
spent here.
Ashley Poole: Freshman Representative
Born and raised in Morristown, I graduated for Morristown-
Hamblen High School West in 2007. My major is in Pre-Pharmacy
and I am undecided on where I plan to transfer after Walters State. I
am also the Secretary of the Science Club and participate in various
activities at the BCM.
I’ve just started at WSCC and anticipate many more positive
things to prosper in my time here.
