Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Walters State Community College, the Walters State Center for Workforce Development and the Smoky Mountains Area Workforce Development Board (LWIA 2) is receiving a substantial investment from the federal government to create and save jobs, and aid individuals affected by the recession. These investments include a Clean Energy Training Grant.
