Walters State’s technical programs allow you to obtain certificates in one to two semesters in diverse areas such as law enforcement, culinary arts and medical coding. Our Associate of Applied Science degrees prepare you for rewarding careers in healthcare, business, education or other fields in around two years of full-time study.

Regardless of your career choice, Walters State is here to guide you to success. Many of our programs include clinical or practicum experience, giving students the opportunity to learn skills in a hands-on environment. Our small class sizes mean that faculty will know your name. Plus, you’ll have access to the college’s great student services, including counseling and tutoring. We also offer many different ways for students to experience campus life.

 

 

Flexible Options & Financial Opportunities

Our class formats give you the flexibility you need to complete your degree. We have traditional in-person classes, online classes and hybrid classes, which are made of up both traditional and virtual sessions. And if you don’t already have a college degree, you may qualify to attend Walters State tuition-free through the Tennessee Reconnect Program. You may also be eligible for other forms of financial assistance like grants and scholarships.
