Student Art Exhibit Opens April 15

Clay Branton’s “Smooth Jazz” is one of the works featured in Walters State’s Annual Student Art Show. This work is an acrylic paint and paper collage. The exhibit runs April 15-29 in the Catron Art Gallery, located inside the R. Jack Fishman Library on the Morristown Campus.

Walters State Student Art Exhibit Opens April 15

The Catron Art Gallery, located on Walters State’s Morristown Campus, will host its annual student art show April 15-29. The Gallery is located inside the R. Jack Fishman Library. Admission is free.  

This exhibit showcases artwork created by students enrolled in the foundations and studio courses within the visual arts and digital media programs.

“This is my 19th year installing the student art show and the range of talent and creativity never ceases to amaze me,” said Amy Evans, professor and head of the art department. “There are so many gifted students who are interested in the arts, and it is energizing to see what these young artists are able to imagine and bring to fruition.”

The Catron Art Gallery is open during normal library hours, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Admission is free.
