The Walters Department of Music and Theatre will hold auditions for "Crimes of the Heart" Feb. 26 and Feb. 27 at the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville.

Walters State will hold auditions for “Crimes of the Heart” at the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, and Tuesday, Feb. 27. Auditions will be held in the Lyceum. 

Auditions are open to the public. Non-students are invited to apply. No theatre experience is needed. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. 

“Crimes of the Heart” combines tragic and comedic elements to create a memorable story centered around three sisters. The play debuted in 1981, receiving a Tony and a Pulitzer Prize for writer Beth Henley. The 1986 film version starred Diane Keaton, Jessica Lange and Sissy Spacek. 

Performances will be held April 12-14 and April 19-21, with Friday and Saturday evening shows and Sunday matinees. The production will be held at the Niswonger Campus.
