March Noncredit Classes Include Excel Level 3, Parenting and Divorce Online

Become a Excel Expert, a Welding Master or Complete the Parenting and Divorce Online in March

Walters State’s Division of Workforce Training will offer Parenting and Divorce, Welding Level 2 and Microsoft Level 2 as noncredit courses during March. For information or to register for a class, contact Kellie Hendrix at 423-798-7988 or Kellie.HendrixFREEWS.

• Parenting and Divorce Online, March 5 or March 19, 5:30-9:30 p.m., $60.
This is the state-mandated course for divorcing parents. Learn valuable communications skills that will make this transition less traumatic for everyone, especially children. This is offered via the Zoom video conferencing platform and participants will receive a certificate of completion that may be submitted to the court.

• Welding Level 2, MIG Welding, March 5-April 2 (Tuesdays), 4-8 p.m., $279. 
This class covers shop practices, equipment, materials and skills needed for the Gas Arc Welding process, commonly known as MIG Welding. This process is used widely in manufacturing and is easy to learn. Students use a hands-on approach with safety emphasized. Those completing the class will gain an understanding of process variables and the selection of joints and weld positions. This course is held at the Walters State Workforce Training Building in Greeneville.

• Microsoft Level 3, March 27, 9-4 p.m., $150.
This course adds to knowledge gained in Level 1 and Level 2 courses. Students will learn how to use PivotTables and Pivot Charts, troubleshoot formulas, advanced formatting advance formulas, advanced formatting and basic data analysis. This class is offered over the Zoom video conferencing platform. Students needing to use a computer or WiFi may take the class at the Morristown Campus, the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville or the Newport Center.
